Commercial Lines Account Manager — Property & Casualty

    Salt Lake City, UT

A well-established local insurance agency is looking for a licensed Commercial Lines Account Manager to own a book of business and be the person clients count on. If you know commercial P&C inside and out and like being the steady hand behind a client's coverage, this is a seat with real ownership and a team that will back you.

    What you'll do:

    • Own a book of commercial accounts as the primary contact, building long-term relationships and delivering service clients actually notice.
    • Run renewals from start to finish: review existing coverage, gather updated client information, pull renewal quotes, and walk clients through their options.
    • Process the day-to-day servicing accurately: endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, policy rewrites, and other change requests.
    • Issue certificates of insurance, evidence of insurance, and binders promptly and correctly.
    • Market accounts to carriers: submit applications, secure competitive quotes, negotiate with underwriters, and compare coverage and pricing to land the best fit.
    • Review policies with clients, flag coverage gaps and exposures, answer their questions, and recommend enhancements that make sense.
    • Support claims: help clients report them, coordinate with carriers and adjusters, and keep clients in the loop as things progress.
    • Keep account records, documentation, and the agency management system current, accurate, and compliant.
    • Partner with producers to onboard new clients, retain existing ones, build proposals, and spot cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
    • Stay current on carrier guidelines, regulations, and licensing requirements while managing multiple deadlines at once.

    What you bring:

    • An active Property & Casualty insurance license.
    • Hands-on commercial P&C experience (commercial lines, not personal lines).
    • Strong organization and follow-through across competing client deadlines.
    • Clear, direct communication with clients, carriers, and underwriters.

    Nice to have:

    • Experience in an agency management system such as AMS360 or Applied Epic.
