Commercial Lending Assistant opportunity with a growing community bank. The Lending Assistant provides execution support across the commercial loan lifecycle and provides administrative support to the Chief Banking Officer. This role is built for a high performer who is comfortable moving quickly in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Commercial Lending Assistant is
responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include:- Oversee the administrative workflow for commercial loans from application intake and due diligence to closing, funding, and post-closing.
- Review deal setups, entity information, and document packages for accuracy. Maintain organized, compliant electronic loan files.
- Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, missing information, and documentation exceptions (e.g., covenants, insurance, ticklers).
- Serve as a central point of contact, providing timely updates on requirements and deadlines to customers, third parties, and internal teams.
- Provide direct administrative support to the CBO, including calendar management, correspondence, meeting prep, and action-item tracking.
- Provide cross-coverage for the broader portfolio and help build process improvements, checklists, and templates to increase team speed and accuracy.
Required qualifications for the position include:- Experience in commercial lending support, loan administration, or a closely related financial services role.
- Working knowledge of commercial loan documentation, entity structures, and closing/post-closing requirements.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple transactions, deadlines, and stakeholders accurately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the aptitude to quickly learn loan origination and pipeline-management systems.
Preferred qualifications for the position include:- 3+ years of commercial lending, credit administration, or loan operations experience within a regulated bank.
- Hands-on experience with complex commercial credits, including commercial real estate (CRE), C&I, and participations.
- Experience handling exception tracking, covenant monitoring, collateral documentation, and audit requests.
Pay Rate Range: $70,000 - $80,000 for salaried positions
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
