Commercial Insurance Producer - Independent Agency - Base Salary to 55k/year - Athens, AL

• Our client is a well-established independent insurance agency serving commercial clients. They are seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Producer to develop and grow a book of business across commercial lines accounts. This role offers flexibility to work remotely or in-office and provides access to multiple carrier markets and internal agency support.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and grow a book of commercial lines business through new client acquisition and new business development
• Prospect and generate new commercial insurance business through networking, referrals, and direct outreach
• Manage the commercial insurance sales lifecycle, including prospecting, quoting, binding, account development, and renewals
• Build and maintain relationships with multiple insurance carriers, underwriters, and underwriting partners
• Analyze commercial client risk exposures and recommend appropriate property and casualty coverage solutions
• Review existing commercial insurance policies and identify opportunities for coverage improvements and cross-selling
• Build and manage a book of commercial accounts while maintaining ongoing client relationships
• Maintain accurate client, prospect, policy, and sales activity records within Applied Epic or a similar agency management system

Qualifications:

• Active Property & Casualty (P&C) License
• 6+ years of experience in commercial insurance sales / production
• Proven track record of prospecting, generating new business, and building and managing a book of commercial insurance business
• Experience working within an independent insurance agency environment
• Experience placing commercial lines business with multiple insurance carriers
• Proficiency with Applied Epic or similar agency management systems

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 45k - 55k/year range (year one)
• Year 2: Reduced base (25k/year) transitioning toward commission
• Year 3: Full commission structure
• Commission: ~40% new business / ~25% renewals
• 401k eligibility after 1 year
• 3 weeks PTO
