Ellerbrock-Norris is seeking a year-round Commercial Insurance Intern to join our team while you finish school. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience inside one of Nebraska's leading independent insurance agencies while building professional skills that will serve you long after graduation.

You'll work alongside experienced insurance professionals, learn how businesses are protected from risk, and contribute to meaningful work that directly supports our clients.

Whether you're exploring a career in insurance, business, finance, or operations, this internship will give you real-world experience you won't get in the classroom.

What You'll Do

As a Commercial Insurance Intern, you'll support our client service and operations teams by:

• Requesting loss history from insurance carriers
• \n
• Assisting with Certificates of Insurance
• \n
• Sending claim acknowledgements and adjuster information to clients
• \n
• Opening, scanning, and routing incoming mail and documentation
• \n
• Answering incoming calls and directing clients to the appropriate team members
• \n
• Entering and maintaining information within agency management systems
• \n
• Supporting administrative projects and day-to-day operations as needed
• \n

No two days are exactly the same, and you'll gain exposure to many aspects of a commercial insurance agency.

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a college degree (business, finance, insurance, communications, or a related field preferred)
• \n
• Interested in working part-time during the school year and full-time or increased hours during breaks, when available
• \n
• Available to work in-person from one of our offices in Omaha, Lincoln, or Hastings, Nebraska
• \n
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• \n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• \n
• Comfortable learning new technology and software
• \n
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and jump in wherever needed
• \n
