A leading provider of commercial mechanical services is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician III to join its growing service team.

This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and optimizing a wide variety of commercial HVAC systems while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be a skilled technician who can independently troubleshoot complex equipment issues, provide expert recommendations to customers, and build long-term client relationships through technical expertise and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems and related equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on a wide range of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
- Identify equipment deficiencies and recommend repair, replacement, or upgrade solutions to improve system performance and reliability.
- Communicate repair recommendations, system conditions, and service options clearly to customers.
- Serve as a trusted technical resource for customers by providing professional guidance regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
- Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and work documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and industry standards.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive service and effective communication.
- Stay current on emerging HVAC technologies, equipment, and service best practices.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to emergency service requests as needed.
- Collaborate with service managers, dispatchers, and fellow technicians to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Perform additional service and maintenance duties as assigned.



Key Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
- Experience servicing a variety of commercial HVAC equipment and systems.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple service calls and customer priorities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
- Must possess personal hand tools necessary to perform daily service work.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting equipment, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call service rotation.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience servicing and troubleshooting:
- Rooftop Units (RTUs)
- Cooling Towers
- Chillers
- Heat Pumps
- Commercial Air Conditioning Systems
- Hydronic Systems
- Geothermal Systems
- Gas Furnaces and Boilers
- Oil Furnaces and Boilers
- Strong understanding of HVAC system operation, controls, and diagnostics.
- EPA Certification preferred.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
