Commercial HVAC/R Refrigeration Field Service Specialist

Picture your day: you roll out in a company vehicle, toolkit ready, and head to a customer site where a walk-in cooler is running warm. You verify pressures and temperatures, trace wiring on a schematic, isolate the fault, and restore peak performance—leaving the kitchen back on schedule and the customer impressed by your professionalism.

What You’ll Handle

  • Diagnose, service, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems end-to-end.
  • Work on walk-in coolers, freezers, reach-in cases, and related commercial refrigeration equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration problems to root cause.
  • Install, repair, and replace refrigeration units and components as needed.
  • Verify system performance using pressure and temperature readings.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to guide repairs.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to sustain efficiency and reliability.
  • Support commercial food service and refrigeration equipment in diverse environments.
  • Identify issues quickly and determine the most effective repair strategy.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and lift materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and deliver quality, customer-focused service.

What You Bring

  • Experience as a Commercial Refrigeration Technician, HVAC/R Technician, or Service Technician.
  • EPA Universal Certification required.
  • Solid understanding of refrigeration systems and cycles.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration and/or food service equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics accurately.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and capability to operate a company vehicle.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.

Compensation

Full-time role with competitive pay of $21–$35 per hour, depending on experience, plus a company vehicle.
