Commercial HVAC/R Refrigeration Field Service Specialist
Picture your day: you roll out in a company vehicle, toolkit ready, and head to a customer site where a walk-in cooler is running warm. You verify pressures and temperatures, trace wiring on a schematic, isolate the fault, and restore peak performance—leaving the kitchen back on schedule and the customer impressed by your professionalism.
What You’ll Handle
- Diagnose, service, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems end-to-end.
- Work on walk-in coolers, freezers, reach-in cases, and related commercial refrigeration equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration problems to root cause.
- Install, repair, and replace refrigeration units and components as needed.
- Verify system performance using pressure and temperature readings.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to guide repairs.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to sustain efficiency and reliability.
- Support commercial food service and refrigeration equipment in diverse environments.
- Identify issues quickly and determine the most effective repair strategy.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and lift materials up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain a professional appearance and deliver quality, customer-focused service.
What You Bring
- Experience as a Commercial Refrigeration Technician, HVAC/R Technician, or Service Technician.
- EPA Universal Certification required.
- Solid understanding of refrigeration systems and cycles.
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
- Hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration and/or food service equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics accurately.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and capability to operate a company vehicle.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
Compensation
Full-time role with competitive pay of $21–$35 per hour, depending on experience, plus a company vehicle.
