Job SummaryUnder minimum supervision, performs diagnostic and service work on commercial (rooftop) HVAC equipment and accessories. Communicates with commercialcustomerto answer questions, resolve problems, and ensure complete customer satisfaction. Works under the direction of the Field Supervisor or Branch Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Works under minimum supervision to performroutine maintenance,cleancoils, clear drain lines, lubricate moving parts and change air filters oncommercialequipment, following companyand customer safety protocols.
Performs testing and diagnostics on commercial heating, air conditioning, boilers and associated equipment, ventilation,and refrigeration equipment as well as accessories inan accurateandtimelymanner.
Inspects equipment toidentifypotential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.
Replace worn components such as motors, contactors, capacitors,beltsand thermostats.
Responsible for delivery and removal of parts and equipment needed to complete service work.
Using hand-held device records all required information from maintenancecall.
Analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves customer problems in a courteous, professional,timely, andaccuratemanner.
Completes all forms and paperwork in a neat,timely, andaccuratemanner.
Communicates with dispatch while on duty to ensure dispatcher hasan accuratestatus report of activities and availability.
Responsible for delivery of excellent customer service and sustaininghigh levelsof customer satisfaction.
Ensures company property, vehicles, and tools are being used,maintainedand properly accounted for.
Represent our company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities.
Following standard procedures andprocess, ensures that the company vehicle is properly stocked, returns defectivewarranty parts to branch, and orders/replenishesvehicle stock as needed.
May train other commercial service/maintenance/install technicians, as assigned.
Performs similar/other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
0-2 years ofexperience performing service and maintenance work on commercial HVAC equipment and relatedaccessories.
High school diploma or GED withadditionaltraining and experience in all aspects of commercial HVAC preferred
EPA 608 license, Universal preferred
Skilled at servicing commercial (rooftop) heating, air conditioning, boilers and associated equipment, and ventilationequipment as well as related accessories.
Proficient at reading wiring diagrams and troubleshoot problems with electrical, refrigerant, and duct systems oncommercial HVAC equipment.
Effective and efficienttime-managementand organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed.
