Staffworks Group has an immediate opening for a full-time commercial HVAC sheet metal professional in Londonderry, New Hampshire. This role offers $27–$30 per hour, based on experience.
A day in the life
You roll onto a commercial jobsite, review the mechanical set, and lay out a clean, efficient path for air distribution. By mid-morning, hangers are set and duct sections are cut, formed, and fit to spec. In the afternoon, you align transitions, install dampers and supports, and verify everything ties back to the drawings—safe, tight, and ready for commissioning.
What you’ll tackle
- Lay out, assemble, and install complex sheet metal duct systems for commercial facilities
- Install ventilation and related HVAC air distribution components in commercial buildings
- Interpret architectural blueprints and mechanical drawings to guide installation
- Field-measure, cut, fit, and connect duct sections and fittings
- Set dampers, hangers, supports, and associated HVAC hardware
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Validate installations meet specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations
What you bring
- Background as a Sheet Metal Installer, HVAC Installer, or Ductwork Mechanic
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical specifications confidently
- Hands-on familiarity with commercial HVAC and ventilation installs
- OSHA 10 Construction Safety Certification (required)
- Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic
License information
- No sheet metal license required
Compensation & schedule
- Full-time role with immediate start
- Pay: $27–$30 per hour, commensurate with experience
