Commercial Glazier / Glazier Helper

Pay: $15–$26/hr DOE

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Location: Shreveport, LA 71105

Position Overview

A commercial and industrial construction company in Shreveport is hiring for its commercial glazing division. We are open to both experienced Commercial Glaziers and Glazier Helpers who have construction experience and want to learn a skilled trade.

Pay will depend on glazing and construction experience.

Responsibilities

  • Install and assist with installation of commercial glass and glazing systems

  • Install storefronts, doors, frames, and aluminum systems

  • Measure, handle, and position glass and materials

  • Assist with layout and preparation for installations

  • Apply sealants, gaskets, and related glazing materials

  • Use hand and power tools

  • Load, unload, and organize glass, tools, and materials

  • Work from ladders, lifts, and elevated areas

  • Maintain a clean and safe jobsite

  • Follow direction from field leadership and experienced glaziers

Requirements

Experienced Glaziers ($23–$26/hr):

  • Previous commercial glazing experience required

  • Experience installing commercial glass, storefront, doors, frames, or similar systems

  • Ability to work independently and accurately complete installations

  • Ability to read measurements, plans, and shop drawings

Glazier Helpers ($15–$18/hr):

  • Previous construction or similar hands-on experience preferred

  • Willingness to learn commercial glazing

  • Comfortable using basic hand and power tools

  • Able to follow direction and work as part of a crew

All Candidates:

  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure

  • Comfortable working at heights and using ladders/lifts

  • Able to perform physical construction work throughout the shift

  • Dependable attendance and reliable transportation

  • Valid driver's license preferred
