Commercial Finance Advisor-SBA & Business Lending

HighRise Capital is seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Advisor to join our growing business finance division.

Prior professional experience originating, underwriting, brokering, or closing SBA loans and/or traditional commercial financing is REQUIRED.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who has already worked directly with SBA loans, business lines of credit, term loans, or similar commercial finance products and understands how to take a transaction from initial application through funding.

Products

The Commercial Finance Advisor will work with:

• SBA 7(a) and SBA 504 loans
• Business lines of credit
• Conventional business term loans
• Bank and non-bank commercial lending
• Equipment financing
• Commercial real estate financing
• Working capital facilities
• Refinancing and debt consolidation
• Other long-term business financing products

Responsibilities

You will manage business financing opportunities from initial consultation through closing.

Responsibilities include:

• Consulting with business owners regarding their financing needs.
• Reviewing business and personal tax returns.
• Reviewing P&Ls, balance sheets, and debt schedules.
• Understanding cash flow and debt-service requirements.
• Determining which financing products a business may qualify for.
• Packaging complete loan files for lenders.
• Working directly with banks, SBA lenders, and other lending partners.
• Managing documentation and underwriting requests.
• Following transactions through approval and closing.
• Maintaining and growing a pipeline of business borrowers.
• Developing long-term relationships with clients and lending partners.

Requirements

Required Experience

Candidates MUST have previous hands-on experience in business lending.

We are specifically interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following:

• SBA loan origination or underwriting
• SBA 7(a) or 504 lending
• Commercial banking
• Business lines of credit
• Conventional business loans
• Commercial loan brokerage
• Equipment financing
• Commercial real estate lending
• Business loan underwriting

Candidates should already understand the commercial lending process and the financial documentation required to structure and close business loans.

Candidates without prior SBA or traditional commercial lending experience will not be considered for this position.

Who We’re Looking For

This position is for an experienced finance professional—not someone who needs to be taught business lending from the ground up.

You should be comfortable speaking with business owners, CFOs, accountants, attorneys, underwriters, and bankers.

We want someone who can look at a business’s financial profile, understand what financing options make sense, structure the opportunity correctly, and confidently guide the borrower through the process.
