Commercial Field Supervisor

Position Summary
The Commercial Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, ensuring quality standards are consistently met, supporting frontline staff, and maintaining excellent customer relationships. This position serves as the primary link between field employees, clients, and the operations team while ensuring all accounts are properly staffed, inspected, and serviced.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Field Operations
- Conduct routine inspections of assigned client locations.
- Ensure all cleaning services are performed according to the contracted scope of work.
- Identify quality concerns and implement corrective action plans.
- Monitor service consistency and operational efficiency.
Staff Leadership
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to cleaners and floaters.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new employees.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Promote a positive, professional, and safety-focused work environment.
Scheduling & Coverage
- Coordinate staffing assignments to maintain uninterrupted service.
- Arrange coverage for employee absences, vacations, and emergencies.
- Assist with scheduling adjustments based on operational needs.
- Perform cleaning duties when necessary to ensure customer commitments are met.
Client Relations
- Respond promptly to customer questions and service concerns.
- Conduct client walkthroughs and quality reviews.
- Maintain positive relationships through professional communication and timely follow-up.
- Coordinate special services and project work with the operations team.
Operational Communication
- Maintain regular communication with management regarding:
- Staffing needs
- Service quality
- Customer concerns
- Operational improvements
- Supply and equipment needs
- Complete required inspection reports, documentation, and follow-up actions.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies, safety procedures, and industry standards.
- Promote safe work practices and proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while representing the company.
Qualifications
- Previous commercial cleaning or janitorial experience required.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel between customer locations as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and perform physical cleaning tasks.
- Ability to work in various indoor environments for extended periods.
Work Environment
This position is primarily field-based and requires frequent travel between customer locations. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary to support operations and customer needs.
