Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Commercial Facilities Lead Custodian to join our team in Columbus, OH (43235). In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our commercial facilities. As a Custodian, you will execute routine daily cleaning tasks, follow established cleaning schedules, and interact professionally with facility staff and visitors to deliver top-quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Routine Cleaning: Perform regular sanitation and cleaning, including pulling trash, dusting surface areas, sweeping floors with a broom, and operating vacuum cleaners.
- Specialized Facility Care: Wash windows and glass surfaces using standard squeegees and cleaning solutions.
- Schedule Management: Read, understand, and strictly follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules to ensure all assigned areas are completed efficiently and thoroughly.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional customer service when interacting with facility occupants, clients, and guests.
- Safety & Maintenance: Report any facility maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to management in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously for an 8-hour shift.
- Lifting Requirement: Ability to safely lift and carry up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Language Proficiency: Must be able to speak, read, and understand English fluently to read cleaning schedules, safety instructions, and communicate effectively with the team and clients.
- Uniform: Must wear the company-provided uniform during all working hours and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
- Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
