    Summary of job content:

    Supports the development of technical and commercial solutions for engineered process equipment serving customers throughout the Americas.

    Serves as a link between customers, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Project Management during the quotation and order process.

    Reviews RFQs and technical requirements, coordinates proposal inputs, and supports costing, pricing and commercial evaluation.

    Develops product, application and commercial knowledge with the goal of growing into a customer-facing commercial role.

    Key Accountabilities:

    Support technical and commercial proposals for engineered process equipment

    Review customer RFQs, specifications, drawings, datasheets and commercial requirements

    Coordinate inputs from Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Project Management

    Assist with costing, pricing, proposal preparation and commercial evaluation

    Participate in customer meetings, technical clarifications and proposal reviews

    Support contract review and identification of commercial risks and open points

    Maintain accurate opportunities, customer information and project status in CRM

    Support order entry, project handover and required commercial documentation

    Support progress billing, payment follow-up and financial instruments as required

    Develop knowledge of SGL products, applications, manufacturing and customer industries

    Collaborate with global Process Technology teams and improve proposal processes

    Provides support for Aftermarket Sales and Equipment Sales

    Organize daily sales back-office activities, such as - but not limited to:

    Invoicing of Progress Billings and support the Letter of Credit process

    Performing market research with guidance of sales team

    Support sales team in pre-sales and post-sales activities, proactively improve and maintain CRM data quality and integrity

    Support customers with RFQs and corresponding quotations

    Support Field Service planning, etc.

    Entering orders within SAP and tracking open invoices and following up on late payments

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Industrial or a related Engineering discipline.

    Experience:

    • 0-3 years of relevant experience; internships and co-op assignments are valued.
    • Chemical process, manufacturing, project or technical sales exposure is a plus.
    • Fluent English required; Spanish or German is a plus

    Preferred Skills:

    • Analytical and structured problem-solving skills
    • Ability to interpret specifications, drawings, P&IDs and datasheets
    • Clear written and verbal communication
    • Interest in customer-facing technical and commercial work
    • Ability to work across international and cross-functional teams
    • Knowledge of process equipment or engineered-to-order manufacturing is a plus
    • Microsoft Office proficiency; SAP and CRM experience are beneficial

    Summary of job content:

    Provides support to Area Sales Managers and VP-Sales, as part the Commercial Order Processing team

    Supports Order Entry and RFQs for the Americas.

    Provides invoicing of progress billings and follow-up on payments.

    Supports the Letter of Credit process, as well as other financial instruments.

    Provides back-office support for the sales department.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Provides support for Aftermarket Sales and Equipment Sales

    • Organize daily sales back-office activities, such as - but not limited to:

    • Invoicing of Progress Billings

    • Support the Letter of Credit process

    • Performing market research with guidance of sales team

    • Gathering and processing research market and marketing data

    • Assist and coordinate with sales team

    • Organizing and assisting sales team's calendar

    • Support sales team in pre-sales and post-sales activities

    • Proactively improve and maintain CRM data quality and integrity

    • Support customers with RFQs and corresponding quotations

    • Support Field Service planning, etc.

    • Entering orders within SAP

    • Tracking open invoices and following up on late payments

    Education:

    • Associates Degree or equivalent experience

    Experience:

    • 1-2 years experience in customer service/technical customer service
    • Chemical industry experience will be a plus
    • Fluent English, additional (Spanish, German) is a plus.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Logistics (regulations, export control. Incoterms. Packing, etc.)
    • Some familiarity with reading and understanding technical documents such as blueprints, parts lists etc. .
    • SAP-system software.
    • Knowledge of machining & manufacturing of chemical process equipment is a plus.
