    Estimator Requirements & Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of experience as an estimator in electrical construction or equivalent experience.
    • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field; applicable experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.


    Estimator Preferred Background & Skills

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (required) and Trimble Accubid v16 (preferred).
    • Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints for project estimation.
    • Strong research, proposal writing, and oral presentation skills.
    • Extensive knowledge of best industry practices and standards.


    Estimator Day-to-Day Responsibilities

    • Assemble material and labor costs for client proposals on construction projects.
    • Conduct subcontractor solicitation and pre-qualification tasks.
    • Analyze and insert specialty and standard equipment and material pricing into estimates.
    • Confirm estimates meet schedule protocols and specifications of scope.
    • Evaluate and condition subcontractor and supplier quotes.
    • Review plans and specifications for the completion of estimates.
