Solid Rock Recruiting is working with a well-established Southern California drywall contractor seeking an experienced Commercial Drywall Estimator to join their growing team in the Santa Clarita / Valencia area.

This is an opportunity to join a longstanding, highly respected contractor with decades of success in the Southern California market and a strong pipeline of tenant improvement and commercial interior projects.

If you have experience estimating drywall scopes for commercial TI projects, this could be an excellent long-term opportunity.

Position Overview

The Estimator will focus primarily on commercial tenant improvement projects, preparing accurate cost estimates, performing takeoffs, and coordinating with project teams to ensure competitive bids and successful project execution.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed drywall estimates for commercial tenant improvement projectsPerform digital quantity takeoffs using estimating softwareAnalyze plans, specifications, and project scopeDevelop accurate material, labor, and equipment cost estimatesCoordinate with project managers and operations teamsAssist with bid preparation and proposal submissionReview subcontractor and vendor pricingSupport preconstruction and project planning activities

Project sizes typically range from $2.5M to $5M drywall packages.

Qualifications

Experience estimating commercial drywall projectsStrong understanding of drywall systems and commercial construction practicesExperience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and QuickBid preferredAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong communication and organizational skillsProject engineering or project management background is a plus
