Truck Driver Nation is looking for a Commercial Driver Career Matching Specialist to help identify transportation opportunities that align with qualified CDL candidates.

Professional drivers do not all want the same job. Equipment preference, operating area, home time, experience, endorsements, and career priorities can significantly affect whether an opportunity is appropriate.

This position focuses on understanding those differences.

DRIVER MATCHING RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review qualified CDL candidate profiles

• Discuss driver employment preferences

• Identify preferred operating areas and home-time expectations

• Review equipment and freight experience

• Identify relevant endorsements and qualifications

• Compare candidate information with available opportunities

• Present appropriate next steps to qualified drivers

• Document candidate interests and matching activity

• Coordinate with recruiting personnel when a potential match is identified

DRIVER PREFERENCES MAY INCLUDE

Candidates may be interested in different types of work such as regional, OTR, dedicated, dry van, reefer, flatbed, specialized freight, or other available operations.

The goal is not to force every driver into the same opening. The goal is to identify legitimate opportunities that make sense based on the driver's qualifications and stated preferences.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong communication and listening skills

• Ability to organize candidate information

• Good judgment when comparing qualifications with opportunities

• Comfortable maintaining detailed recruiting records

• Ability to manage multiple driver candidates

• Recruiting, trucking, logistics, or transportation experience is preferred

• Understanding of CDL equipment and operating categories is valuable
