Commercial Door Technician

Our client is a growing provider of commercial door and loading dock solutions. They are looking for dependable, mechanically inclined individuals who want to build a long-term career in a skilled trade and are willing to train the right person.

Pay: $18–$30 per hour, based on experience

Position Summary
The Commercial Door Technician will install, service, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial doors, loading dock equipment, automatic door systems, and related hardware. This is a hands-on position requiring mechanical aptitude, attention to safety, customer service skills, and the ability to work in physically demanding environments.

Prior commercial door experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial overhead doors
• Service and maintain loading dock equipment, including dock levelers, seals, and shelters
• Install and service hollow metal doors, frames, hardware, and automatic door/access systems
• Diagnose mechanical and operational issues and complete necessary repairs
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other equipment
• Read work orders, installation instructions, and technical information
• Complete service documentation accurately and on time
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
• Follow company safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements
