Commercial Contracts Manager Energy Storage

About the Role

This role focuses on managing and negotiating contracts to support the growth and success of energy storage projects. The position ensures that all contracts are compliant with legal, regulatory, and technical requirements, mitigating risks and protecting the organization's interests. As a Contract Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth project operations and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and understand Battery Energy Storage system sales contracts and supply agreements.
• Check and manage supplier contracts to identify gaps or risks.
• Oversee the contract management system and document control.
• Handle contract changes and amendments efficiently.
• Negotiate with customers, suppliers, vendors, and contractors to secure favorable terms.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, and project teams to ensure contract compliance.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, finance, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in contract management or legal management in the BESS industry.
• Minimum of 7 years in contract, paralegal, legal research, legal drafting, or commercial negotiation.
• Demonstrated expertise in contract law and ability to analyze contractual provisions.
• General knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or JD is a plus.
• Certified Commercial Contract Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) is a plus.
