ABOUT ALT CONSTRUCTION

Alt Construction is a growing leader in commercial construction across Central Indiana. We deliver primarily design-build projects — from ground-up build-to-suit buildings to tenant improvements for retail, restaurants, sports and recreation, office, and service and maintenance facilities.

Alt also serves as the construction arm for in-house commercial development and design-build work. That means our field leaders are involved earlier, work closely with the people who conceive, design, and own the projects, and see a steady pipeline of work that we help shape from the start — not just bid and build.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and actively manage the project schedule and short-term look-ahead, and recover quickly when work slips

Direct, sequence, and hold subcontractors accountable for schedule, manpower, workmanship, safety, and cleanup

Provide field input during design and development on constructability, sequencing, and site logistics

Review drawings, specs, and submittals ahead of installation, and manage RFIs so missing information never stalls the field

Lead jobsite safety, including regular toolbox talks, and keep a clean, organized site

Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals, and verify work meets plans, specs, and Alt standards

Maintain accurate daily reports, photos, inspection records, and as-builts

Drive punch lists, owner training, and closeout documentation through turnover

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

5+ years of commercial construction field leadership, including ground-up projects (required)

Proven ability to independently run projects and subcontractor teams

Strong knowledge of means and methods, sequencing, and reading architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings

Experience with schedules, RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and closeout

Comfortable with project management and scheduling software

Design-build experience and OSHA 30 a plus

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Central Indiana
