Commercial Construction Project Manager

Position Overview

A well-established and growing commercial construction company is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to join their team. This position will oversee projects from preconstruction through completion while ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from contract award through completion.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and execution plans.

  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documents.

  • Manage project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and change orders.

  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, pay applications, change orders, and project documentation.

  • Monitor subcontractor performance, schedules, quality, and compliance.

  • Identify and resolve issues that could affect project cost, schedule, or quality.

  • Work closely with Superintendents and field teams to ensure successful project execution.

  • Maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships.

  • Assist with preconstruction, estimating, bidding, and business development as needed.

  • Manage project closeout and ensure all contractual requirements are completed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience preferred.

  • Experience managing projects from start to finish.

  • Strong knowledge of construction plans, specifications, contracts, and scheduling.

  • Experience with budgets, cost control, change orders, and subcontractor management.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred but not required.
