What You'll Do:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates based on construction drawings, specifications, and project scope.
- Perform quantity takeoffs, pricing analysis, and cost studies for assigned scopes of work.
- Develop and assemble competitive bids and proposals (lump sum, GMP, and cost-plus).
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain and evaluate pricing.
- Serve as liaison between project teams, architects, engineers, and clients during preconstruction.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives.
- Review plans and specifications for constructability, scope gaps, and risk factors.
- Maintain organized documentation and manage bid packages and estimate records.
- Support project handoff to operations and assist with budget validation and buyout.
- Mentor junior estimators or support staff as needed.
What You Bring:
- 5–10+ years of commercial construction estimating experience (GC experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Proficiency with estimating software and tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience preparing bids across multiple contract types and project sizes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
