This role supports the project management team on active commercial interior projects - metal framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, EIFS, stucco, painting, and Division 8 and 10 specialties. You'll work under an experienced Project Manager, handling the coordination, documentation, and follow-up that keeps a job moving. It's a hands-on seat with real exposure to how jobs are actually run, and it's a common step toward managing your own projects.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Background and Skills
Who Does Well Here
Assistant PMs who succeed at UCS are organized, direct, and willing to chase down an answer instead of waiting for one. You'll be talking to superintendents, GC project engineers, and suppliers all day, so being able to communicate clearly and hold people to commitments matters more than polish. Expect to juggle several jobs at once and expect the priorities to shift. If you like predictable work with a fixed daily routine, this isn't the right fit.
About United Contractor Services
UCS is a multi-craft specialty subcontractor headquartered in Kennesaw, Georgia, working on commercial interior projects across the country. We're ranked among the Top 50 Walls and Ceilings contractors in North America and self-perform our scope rather than brokering it out. That means the work stays in-house and so does the accountability.
