Commercial Concrete Form Setter

Pay: $26-$27/hr DOE

Schedule: Monday-Friday, starting at 7:00 AM (schedule may vary by jobsite)

About the Position

We are currently seeking experienced Commercial Concrete Form Setters to join our team for current and upcoming commercial and civil construction project in Uvalde Texas.

The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years of commercial concrete form-setting experience, understands how to read construction plans, and can confidently set, square, and layout concrete forms. We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who take pride in their work and are ready to get the job done safely and correctly.

Job Location:

• Uvalde ($40/day if traveling from Bexar County or beyond)

Travel between jobsites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Set and install commercial concrete forms according to plans and specifications
• Read and interpret construction drawings and plans
• Shoot and verify grades and elevations
• Measure, layout, square, and align forms
• Build and prepare formwork for concrete placement
• Use hand tools and construction equipment safely and effectively
• Assist with layout, preparation, and general concrete construction activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow jobsite safety requirements and company procedures
• Work effectively with foremen, superintendents, and other members of the construction team
• Perform physically demanding construction work, including standing, bending, lifting, and working outdoors

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of commercial concrete form-setting experience
• Ability to read and understand construction plans
• OSHA 10
• Must be willing to complete a 10-panel drug screening
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Reliable transportation to and from jobsites
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work safely in a construction environment
• Must be physically capable of performing the essential duties of the position

Basic Tools Required

Candidates should have their own basic hand tools, including:

• Claw hammer
• Pliers
• Small level
• Framing tools
• Tape measure
• Framing square

PPE will be provided.

Interview Process

Our team will conduct an initial interview with qualified applicants. Candidates who meet the requirements will then have a phone interview with the client's General Superintendent.
