Jack Laurie Group is looking for a skilled Commercial Carpenter to join our Fort Wayne team. This position will focus on a variety of commercial interior construction projects, with a strong emphasis on acoustical/drop ceiling installation.
We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and wants to be part of a team that delivers high-quality results for customers throughout Northeast Indiana.
What You'll Do
- Install acoustical/drop ceiling systems
- Read and interpret project drawings and specifications
- Layout and install ceiling grids and ceiling tile
- Perform light framing, trim, and finish carpentry work
- Complete punch list items and project closeout work
- Work safely and professionally on active construction sites
- Maintain quality workmanship and attention to detail
What We're Looking For
- Commercial carpentry experience preferred
- Experience installing drop/acoustical ceilings strongly preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure and use standard construction tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance
- Commitment to safety and professionalism
Bonus Experience
- Metal stud framing
- Drywall installation and finishing
- Commercial remodeling
- Healthcare or occupied renovation projects
- Interior finish carpentry
