The Opportunity

Sharp Spoon Network has been retained to recruit an experienced Commercial Business Development Executive on behalf of a global leader providing comprehensive solutions in property restoration, disaster recovery, construction, and related services.

This relationship-driven business development role focuses on identifying, developing, and securing new commercial business. The ideal candidate is an established sales professional with a strong network of commercial relationships and a demonstrated history of personally generating significant revenue.

The position offers a base salary of $90,000–$110,000 plus commission, with total annual earning potential of approximately $175,000–$200,000 based on performance. A company vehicle and company-issued expense card for approved business expenses are also provided.

Key Responsibilities

As a Commercial Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for developing new commercial accounts and building relationships with decision-makers and influencers involved in commercial property, risk management, insurance, construction, restoration, and business continuity.

Responsibilities include:

  • New Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial clients and long-term business relationships.
  • Relationship Development: Build and maintain relationships with commercial property owners and operators, facility and property management professionals, risk managers, insurance professionals, brokers, adjusters, consultants, and other key decision influencers.
  • Revenue Generation: Personally originate new opportunities, manage the sales process, and convert relationships and leads into meaningful revenue.
  • Strategic Account Development: Develop relationships that can produce repeat business and become long-term strategic accounts.
  • Presentations & Negotiations: Conduct in-person presentations with senior decision-makers, communicate service capabilities, negotiate opportunities, and secure agreements.
  • Business Continuity Partnerships: Position the organization as a trusted resource for emergency response, restoration, recovery, construction, and other commercial property needs.
  • Internal Coordination: Work closely with Project Coordinators, Project Managers, field personnel, and other internal teams to ensure successful execution and an exceptional client experience.
  • Market Development: Leverage existing relationships while continually expanding your professional network and identifying new market opportunities.
  • Brand Representation: Represent the organization with professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to long-term client relationships.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrated success in business development, sales, and relationship management, with a track record of personally originating and closing significant commercial revenue.
  • An established network of commercial relationships that can be leveraged to develop new business opportunities.
  • Experience developing relationships with senior executives, business owners, property and facility leaders, risk professionals, insurance professionals, or other commercial decision-makers.
  • Experience in commercial restoration, disaster recovery, construction, roofing, property services, insurance, or a closely related industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience within or selling into the insurance industry is a plus.
  • Proven ability to prospect, develop opportunities, conduct presentations, negotiate, close business, and grow strategic accounts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and relationship-building abilities.
  • Marketing, Business, or related degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Compensation & Resources

  • Base Salary: $90,000–$110,000
  • Commission: Performance-based commission opportunity
