    Essential Functions Possess the technical product knowledge sufficient to understand complex avionics systems and interoperability and advanced knowledge of the relevant aviation industry Initiate and cultivate successful customer relationships, maximize partnership potential, and drive to consistently exceed customer expectations and sales objectives Build and present product presentations demonstrating advanced knowledge of Garmin products and showing a high level of comfort presenting in front of customers Effectively develop persuasive, well-organized, and informative proposals and program analysis in response to customer proposal requests Manage relevant product line and/or customer accounts, including sales strategies, content, scope and customer demands and work with the internal team to coordinate customer contract negotiations effectively across cross-functional teams Develop, review and revise OEM forecasts showing a high level of knowledge about each of your customers' production forecast and average optional take rates for each model and requires consistent changes during forecast reviews and follows up afterwards to provide a high-level summary of changes upon request Prepare and maintain ongoing margin analysis and program analysis with consistent management oversight with ability to present the prepared content to senior management Build strong working relationships with each of your customer's key point-of-contact making yourself known as the primary commercial representative for Garmin Able to travel, coordinate, and represent Garmin at industry and professional meetings, trade shows and regional events to demonstrate products/articulate competitive benefits of Garmin products/systems and complete timely and succinct trip and status reports Directly interface with customers, including Garmin dealers, fleets and end users by way of onsite travel, product presentations, email and phone correspondence, etc. Contribute customer, market, and product knowledge to internal cross-functional teams and assist in collecting, compiling and presenting competitive intelligence internally Demonstrate a moderate level of understanding of the avionics market, including relevant market participants, certification processes, MRO related functions, etc.

    Overview We are seeking a full-time Commercial Aviation Sales Manager at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for the sale of avionics products to the airline markets within your assigned product line, airlines or OEMs with periodic guidance.
