Liability Claims Adjuster – Auto & General Liability

Location: Remote – Philadelphia, PA

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Liability Claims Adjuster to manage automobile, bodily injury, and general liability casualty claims across multiple jurisdictions. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a claims professional who is comfortable independently managing complex files, evaluating exposure, negotiating settlements, and working with attorneys and external service providers.

What You’ll Do

  • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve automobile, bodily injury, and general liability claims.

  • Review policies and interpret applicable coverage.

  • Manage both litigated and non-litigated claims across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Assess liability, damages, and overall claim exposure.

  • Establish and continually evaluate accurate reserves.

  • Develop settlement strategies and communicate recommendations.

  • Coordinate with outside counsel, investigators, claimants, and service providers.

  • Prepare detailed loss reports covering liability, damages, coverage, and exposure.

  • Identify subrogation and risk-transfer opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate claim documentation, diaries, correspondence, and evaluations.

  • Provide responsive, professional service throughout the claims process.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 3+ years of automobile and general liability casualty claims experience.

  • Active New York State Adjuster License required.

  • Experience with litigation management, coverage issues, liability investigations, and claim valuation.

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to independently manage a busy caseload.

  • Strong claims-management system and computer proficiency.

Preferred: Multi-state adjuster licenses and experience handling litigated claims across multiple jurisdictions.
