We are currently seeking a Commercial Auto Bodily Injury Claims Representative to join our Boston office, located directly across the street from South Station. Responsibilities
- Contact commercial insureds, attorneys, claimants, and other parties to gather required information and investigate claims in accordance with applicable guidelines.
- Investigate, analyze, and evaluate commercial automobile liability claims, including liability, coverage, and damages.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive claim files documenting all investigation, evaluation, and claim-handling activities.
- Interpret and apply commercial automobile policy provisions, including coverages, exclusions, conditions, and endorsements.
- Establish adequate and timely reserves in accordance with company guidelines and claim exposure.
- Provide fair and equitable evaluations and negotiate settlements within established authority.
- Manage complex and litigated commercial auto bodily injury claims from initial investigation through resolution.
- Direct and monitor defense counsel in the handling of litigated matters, including discovery, mediation, trial preparation, trial, and settlement.
- Identify, investigate, and refer potential fraudulent claims to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU).
- Maintain effective communication with insureds, brokers, attorneys, claimants, defense counsel, and other stakeholders throughout the life of the claim.
- Answer questions and resolve claim-related issues within established levels of authority.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial automobile casualty claims experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience handling auto bodily injury and liability claims required.
- Massachusetts automobile claims experience required.
- Experience managing litigated commercial auto claims strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial automobile coverages, policy interpretation, liability investigation, and claim evaluation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex claims, prioritize effectively, and work with a strong sense of urgency.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
- BA/BS degree or commensurate casualty claims experience required.

Salary Range: $86,000 -$118,000 a year. Actual compensation will vary based on multiple factors, including employee knowledge and experience, role scope, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
