The Job
The Command Center Supervisor is responsible for leading 24/7 Command Center operations across Core Scientific's data center environments, ensuring operational continuity, service reliability, and effective incident response. This role provides direct supervision of Command Center Specialists, establishes operational priorities, and serves as the primary escalation authority during critical operational events. The Supervisor oversees shift operations, staffing, performance management, and adherence to established operational policies, procedures, and service standards. They lead cross-functional coordination efforts during incidents, emergency events, maintenance activities, and business continuity operations. This position is accountable for operational reporting, quality assurance, process governance, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Command Center data and documentation. The Supervisor supports continuous improvement initiatives by identifying operational gaps, recommending process enhancements, and ensuring implementation of approved improvements. Additionally, they are responsible for onboarding, coaching, and developing team members to strengthen operational readiness and technical competency. The ideal candidate is a strong operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced 24/7 environment and can effectively balance people leadership, operational execution, and organizational priorities.
Responsibilities
Lead real-time command center operations to ensure uptime, incident response effectiveness, and operational continuity across all monitored environments
Serve as the operational lead for Command Center Specialists by providing subject matter expertise, enforcing operational policies and procedures, and maintaining real-time awareness of data center activities, incidents, and critical events across all environments
Oversee shift operations, workload balancing, escalation management, and staff performance during critical events
Coordinate with cross-functional teams during security incidents, emergency events, crisis response activities, investigations, and facility access operations to ensure timely communication, operational continuity, and adherence to established emergency response procedures
Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule to provide leadership support, operational escalation management, and incident coordination during critical events or after-hours operations
Support business continuity and disaster recovery operations during planned and unplanned events
Lead, mentor, and supervise Command Center Specialists by providing operational guidance, performance coaching, and ongoing skills development to ensure high-quality incident response and operational execution
Lead onboarding, training, and continuous development initiatives to improve team performance, operational readiness, and technical competency
Ensure operational continuity by coordinating staffing coverage, shift support, and leadership response during staffing shortages or critical operational events
Foster strong cross-functional partnerships with site leadership, engineering, operations, and support teams to promote collaboration and operational effectiveness
Supports continuous improvement initiatives within the Command Center by identifying process gaps, optimizing workflows, enhancing SOPs, and driving operational efficiency across cross-functional teams
Enforce adherence to approved SOPs and provide feedback on procedural effectiveness.
Communicate, implement, and enforce evolving operational processes, procedures, and business requirements while ensuring staff alignment, accountability, and operational readiness
Ensure operational data, ticket quality, and shift reporting are accurate and submitted in accordance with established reporting requirements.
Foster open, respectful, and professional communication both within the team and with coworkers, teammates, and leaders across the organization.

Qualifications
Associate degree in related fields of study OR 5 years of relevant, Data Center support experience required.
Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience in a 24/7 operational environment required
Experience managing operational incidents, escalations, and cross-functional response coordination preferred
Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, HPC operational requirements, critical facility dependencies, and site configurations required
Understanding of ITIL service delivery concepts, preferred.
Experience with Slack, Ignition, Metasys, CMMS systems, and Confluence preferred
Excellent Computer Skills with Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across operational and management teams
Strong decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize and respond effectively during high-pressure operational events
Ability to manage multiple priorities and operational escalations in a fast-paced 24/7 environment
Effectively listen to, understand, clarify, and resolve the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and leadership
Experience conducting employee coaching, performance management, and development planning preferred
Experience facilitating major incident response activities and escalation management required
Experience auditing operational documentation, ticket quality, and process compliance preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead teams during high-pressure operational events and emergency situations

This job typically operates in a professional office environment and routinely utilizes standard equipment, including laptop computers and smartphones. This role may also travel to data center sites, and the work environment at a data center may contain loud noise, construction, and other operational elements

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position - 40 hours per week Monday - Friday (Nights); Overtime and Weekends as needed. Rotating on-call scheduled.
