Job Title: Comfort Advisor (Residential Sales)

Job Location: Piscataway, NJ

 

Position Overview

As a Comfort Advisor in our Home Services division, you will be part of a dynamic sales team responsible for driving revenue growth, delivering high-quality customer experiences, and helping homeowners find comfort solutions that meet their unique needs. This role combines relationship-building, consultative selling, and coordination with operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to identify and secure new residential customers
  • Identify decision-makers within target leads and cultivate long-term client relationships
  • Conduct in-home consultations to understand customer needs and recommend optimal solutions
  • Provide accurate and timely price quotes, presenting the latest technologies and energy-efficient products
  • Educate customers on available financing options to increase affordability and close rates
  • Collaborate with installation and service teams to ensure smooth handoffs and excellent post-sale support
  • Attend regular meetings with other Comfort Advisors to review sales performance and share best practices
  • Prepare and deliver sales reports, tracking key metrics and identifying areas for improvement
  • Make follow-up calls and send emails to maintain communication with prospects and past customers
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1+ years of proven in-home service sales experience (HVAC highly preferred) with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding targets 
  • Ongoing training and development (no HVAC experience required—we train you) 
  • Strong presentation and consultative sales skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, digital forms, etc.)

 

Working Conditions

Environment:

  • Work is performed primarily in customer homes
  • Exposure to varying noise levels, with moderate to loud environments depending on the location
  • May require early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and responsiveness during severe weather events
  • Indoor and outdoor work in a variety of climate conditions, including extreme heat or cold and high humidity

 

Physical Abilities:

  • Frequent use of computer systems and communication tools (phone, tablet, etc.)
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and climb as needed
  • Requires visual acuity for close and distance vision, including the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. of materials or equipment
  • Requires manual dexterity and endurance for frequent reaching, bending, and physical navigation in home environments

The compensation for this position is expected to be a base range of $65,000 – $160,000/year. This is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed.
