Position Summary
As part of the continued expansion of the Jackson Health System, the Jackson Medical Group, a growing multi-specialty physician network of over 40 physicians who practice throughout Miami-Dade County at over 7 different specialty care centers seek to hire a Colorectal Surgeon to develop and build our specialty practice in the Miami-Dade County area.
The Colorectal Surgeon will provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with benign and malignant colorectal conditions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality surgical care for a full spectrum of colorectal diseases.
- Perform open, laparoscopic, and robotic-assisted colorectal procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including GI, oncology, radiology, and pathology.
- Participate in call coverage and inpatient/outpatient care.
- Support quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based protocols, and program development.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards.
- General Surgery call as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Surgery.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Colorectal Surgery Fellowship.
- Eligible for Florida medical licensure.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and clinical excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with robotic surgery (da Vinci platform).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) is a plus given Miamis diverse population.
