Job Summary/Basic Function:
Provision of primary care medicine to students, including assessment, diagnosis, and the implementation of a treatment plan in accordance with a collaborative relationship with the Director of Student Health Services. Emphasis is placed on primary prevention and health/wellness education. Reports to the Director of Student Health Services.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Full-Time)
SUNY Potsdam is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide high-quality, student-centered psychiatric care within the College Counseling Center. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will serve as an integral member of a multidisciplinary behavioral health team, providing comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, psychotherapy, medication management, consultation, and education to support the mental health and well-being of SUNY Potsdam students.
The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, clinical excellence, sound judgment, and a commitment to SUNY Potsdam's mission, vision, and values while adhering to all institutional policies, ethical standards, and applicable federal and New York State regulations. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will protect students' autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs while providing compassionate, culturally responsive, trauma-informed care.
