For the 2021-2022 academic year we enrolled over 11000 students in which 74 identify as Latinx 6 as AsianPacific Islander 2 as BlackAfrican American 16 as White 1 as American IndianAlaska Native and 2 as multiracial. The successful candidate will join a college dedicated to the students it serves.Providing professional nursing assessment through standards set by the California Nurse Practice Ace and Title V on the Reedley College campus andor at off-site community campus locations the College Nurse will be responsible for Provides clinical care including preventative care health education assessment treatment andor referral for acute illnesses and injuries. Adheres to Health Services and college policies and procedures applicable county state and federal regulations license and standards to ensure compliance. Presents current and accurate health educational and wellness resources for students to support their physical and mental health. Maintains secure accessible system of confidential medical records in accordance with HIPAA and State and Federal laws. Utilizes advanced technological skills to maintain an electronic medical record keeping system. Collaborates with other campus departments in meeting the health needs of the campus community to promote student wellness and appropriate referrals. Serves as a resource for the college community on issues of health promotion disease prevention safety and health advocacy including participation in outreach events and classroom presentations. Otherwise fulfilling all of the duties and responsibilities of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122 and Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
All candidates must have evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender identity sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practice within the classroom and Bachelors in nursing AND a California Public Health Nurse certificate AND five years of experience andor a California School Nurse Credential. Experience and skill incorporating elements of diversity equity and inclusion into all areas of responsibility Recent experience working with African American AsianPacific Islander Latinx Native American and other racially minoritized students in the classroom and an understanding of how historical patterns of exclusion of these groups in higher education shape patterns of participation and outcomes Willingness to examine and remediate ones instructional relational and classroom practices to more effectively engage and support racially minoritized students Experience working with students of various cultural gender age socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds students with disabilities Demonstrated ability to work with computers and other technologies which are utilized in providing high-quality instruction and support to students Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students and staff Experience serving a diverse community of all ages ethnicities and languages and close collaboration and partnership with college programs and services General nursing experience Ability to work in an independent help setting with a comprehensive team Public health school nursecollege nurse occupational health nurse experience Ability to maintain a close liaison with students staff and local medical providers Computer skills in maintenance of health information and data collection Ability to maintain confidential records Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students and staff in written and oral form Related work and professional experience Knowledge of the community college and its mission and goals.
Salary and Benefits
Newly hired part-time faculty will be placed on step one 1 of the Part-Time Faculty Salary Schedule All salary classification placements on the salary schedule will be based on education and experience where applicable as outlined in the Part-Time Faculty Salary Classifications Sick leave accrual is based on assignment hours For more information on salary and benefits please refer to the SCCCD & SCFT Part-Time Faculty Agreement

Continuous RecruitmentThis posting has been created to establish an applicant pool for part-time faculty positions. Applications will be reviewed by members of the hiring department when vacancies arise.The College Nurse provides services to students in the Student Health Office. The position is based on a Public Health model focusing on prevention intervention treatment ∨ referral. Duties include providing vaccines TB screening Health Action Plans HAP sexual health care services basic first aid assessingtriaging acute illnesses and injuries community-based resources and more. This position works in close communication with the Health Services Coordinator functioning as a collaborative team that provides cooperative care consultation and mutual clinical support.

About the CollegeReedley College is located in the Central San Joaquin Valley of California in the city of Reedley which has a population of approximately 25000. Known as The Worlds Fruit Basket" Reedley is in one of the richest agricultural regions of the world. Reedley College was established in May 1926 as Reedley Junior College. Reedley College is located on the historic T.L. Reed Ranch bordering the Kings River which spans over 420 acres including a 300-acre farm. Over its nearly 100 years of service to Californias Central San Joaquin Valley Reedley College has been an essential component of higher education offering over 67 programs and degrees taught by approximately 180 full-time faculty and 400 part-time faculty. Some of the programs offered at Reedley College includes an Agriculture that regularly receives awards for their excellence in teaching Aviation Maintenance and Flight Sciences Natural Resources Forestry and Wildland Fire Fighting and STEM including engineering. In addition the college is also one of 11 community colleges in California to offer students on-campus housing.
