An Admissions Advisor is responsible for supporting the admissions process and plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the application process to facilitate a positive experience for prospective students. The Testing Center Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the Testing Center and ensures compliance with all testing regulations. Dixie Technical College is a public technical college located in a new state-of-the-art campus in St. George, Utah. The College has 29 Council on Occupational Education-accredited programs that offer certifications in high-demand, high-pay professions.Admissions Duties and Responsibilities:Reach out to all applicants to assist with the application and set up an advisement appointment when possible via in-person or through video conferenceVerify accurate applicant information, ensure admission standards are met, and verify applications are completeFacilitate the introduction of applicants to financial aid, instructional support, and instructorsLead campus tours for applicants when neededKeep Zoho CRM updated with detailed notes, appointments, and tasksBe a team player and seek feedbackStay positive and represent the college in a professional mannerLook for opportunities to help team members and students to accomplish their tasks and goalsShare ideas for innovating the admissions process to make it more efficient and simpleUtilize multiple forms of communication with applicants (phone calls, text messages, and email)Become familiar with all details of the programs offered to ensure good customer serviceBe efficient with time management and proactive in helping fill programsEnsure that students and staff are treated respectfully and equally without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, age (40 or over), national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, childbirth, or pregnancy-related condition. Report all violations immediately to HR or Student Services.Testing Center Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee the daily operations of the Dixie Technical College Testing CenterWork with the supervisor to develop and update services, policies, and procedures in response to changing demandsFollows federal and state regulations and policies and ensures compliance with regulationsMaintain rules and regulations for all external testing agenciesMaintain certification with all testing agenciesServes as liaison with the programs and external testing agencies to ensure exams are proctored in a timely mannerAdminister special accommodations to students as directed by the ADA coordinatorTrain, schedule, and direct the work of the other staff assigned to the testing centerAdminister and proctor exams offered in the Testing CenterImmediately report any cheating or dishonesty to Student ServicesManage appointment scheduleMaintains Testing Center statistics, including the number of people tested, the number of tests given, the type of tests, and the budget. Prepares monthly and annual reports and makes recommendations to the supervisor concerning staffing and programming implications.Enter test results into the Admissions software daily.Ensure end-of-day checklists are effectively completedAdhere to and enforce FERPA regulationsEnsure cleanliness in the testing centerDevelop new testing center programs as demand requires by the programs and the community as directed by the supervisorFollow Dixie Tech policies and proceduresOther duties as assigned Requirements and Qualifications:High School diploma required.
