The Collections Specialist is responsible for the specific duties listed below.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Manage a portfolio of assigned delinquent accounts.
  • Initiate contact with debtors through phone calls, emails, and written correspondence to discuss outstanding debts, payment options, and negotiate payment arrangements.
  • Document all collection activities, including communication records, payment arrangements, and any relevant information obtained during discussions with debtors within client standards and Federal Regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to debtors, responding to inquiries, providing accurate information, and addressing concerns.
  • Utilize skip tracing techniques and tools to locate debtors who have changed contact information or are difficult to reach.

Required qualifications for the position include:

  • 3 years of experience in collections or related customer service roles.
  • Proficiency in using collections software, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic computing skills.
  • Familiarity with debt collection laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to obtain the required License for collecting upon placement.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications for the position include:

  • Experience in collections or related customer service within a financial or credit environment.
  • Some college coursework in business or related fields.

Pay Rate Range: $20.00 per hour

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
