Position Summary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven B2B Collections & Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, collecting outstanding balances, reducing aging receivables, and ensuring timely payment of invoices. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship management skills, with experience handling business-to-business collections in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain a portfolio of business customer accounts.
Conduct collection activities via phone, email, and written correspondence to secure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and prioritize collection efforts.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment disputes, and account issues.
Reconcile customer accounts and apply payments accurately.
Collaborate with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve collection concerns.
Negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Document collection efforts and account activity within ERP or accounting systems.
Prepare reports related to collection trends, aging receivables, and account status.
Support month-end close activities and assist with cash application functions as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls.
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
2+ years of B2B collections and/or accounts receivable experience.
Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and credit management.
Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reconciliations, lookups, and reporting.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
