FULL DESCRIPTION The position provides guidance and management to employees in the freezer and dock areas to meet daily goals. The Warehouse Manager will assist management by communicating goals and objectives to the employees as well as result of performance to management for effective an efficient product handling storage and shipment.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:  
  • Adhere to Core Values published in the employee handbook; 
  • Commit to being safety conscious, and supporting the Injury and Illness Prevention Program through personal action of compliance; 
  • Participate in company required training; 
  • Responsible for in-house locations, external locations for frozen and non-frozen; 
  • Responsible for accurate recording of daily plant production lots into inventory; 
  • Responsible for accuracy of all shipping documents and verification of both inbound receipts and outbound products; 
  • Controls inventory by conduction physical counts and reconciling with data storage system; 
  • Coordinate with Production and Sales to schedule logistics of loading containers and trucks to optimize plant efficiencies; 
  • Completes freezer and shipping operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees or temporary personnel, following up on work results; * Participate in analyzing all aspect of logistics in determine most cost-effective or efficient means of transporting products or supplies; 
  • Develop and manage logistics KPIs; 
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establish and monitoring security procedures and protocols; 
  • Provides employee coaching and development. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution; 
  • Performs accident investigations 
  • Ensure that the staff are working in a manner that promotes safety, complying with OSHA, Cal OSHA, and MSDS standards. Report any concerns, hazards, or mishaps to the manager

The selected candidate will also posses:
 
  • Associate degree and five years related experience in food processing experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience, and strong computer skills. Knowledge of HACCP, GMP's, OSHA and loss control programs is highly desirable. 
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and compose instructions, correspondence, and memos in English. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Spanish language highly desirable. 
  • Possess good analytical, quantitative, communication, problem solving, and technical skills. Ability to creatively apply experience, common sense, and a strategic and economical business perspective to a variety of situations, processes and people. Ability to manage several projects concurrently. Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy and work independently and professionally and in a team environment. 
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have at least a command of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
 
Salary Range: $38-$45/hr
