Coining Machine Operator

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Coining Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring coining machines used to form and shape metal components to precise specifications. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing high-quality products in a safe and efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate coining presses and related manufacturing equipment.
• Load raw materials and monitor machine performance throughout production runs.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product quality.
• Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product specifications and production efficiency.
• Identify and troubleshoot minor machine issues and notify maintenance of major equipment concerns.
• Maintain accurate production records and quality documentation.
• Follow work instructions, blueprints, and production schedules.
• Assist with tooling changes, machine setup, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and safety standards.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment, presses, or metal-forming machinery preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production documentation.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and material handling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moving machinery and moderate noise levels.
