Full-Time Code Instructor & School Program Lead Code Ninjas – El Segundo, CA Love technology? Love working with kids? Help the next generation become problem-solvers. Code Ninjas is a leading kids' coding franchise where children ages 5–14 learn coding, technology, and problem-solving by building projects and games they enjoy.
We're looking for a
patient, energetic, and technology-minded individual who enjoys working with kids. This is an excellent opportunity for a
recent college graduate or early-career professional interested in technology, education, mentoring, or leadership.
What You'll Do- Coach and mentor children ages 5–14 using the Code Ninjas curriculum
- Help students develop problem-solving, logic, and critical-thinking skills
- Guide students toward solutions rather than simply giving them answers
- Lead after-school coding programs at local elementary schools
- Create a fun, positive, and safe learning environment
- Communicate with parents and build relationships with students and school staff
- Assist with camps, workshops, and special events
- Represent Code Ninjas professionally in the community

Technical Experience·
JavaScript and C# are the primary programming languages used in our curriculum, so basic experience with either language is highly recommended. Experience with the
UNITY development environment is also preferred.
· Training will be provided on our proprietary curriculum, including how to teach JavaScript and C# within our program.
· Experience with any of the following is a plus:
o
Scratch, Lua, Python, Minecraft, Roblox Studio, game development, or other coding/technology platforms. Teaching, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, childcare, camp counseling, or working with children is also a plus.
Schedule & Availability This is a
full-time, on-site position with a combination of in-center coaching and off-site school programs.
At the Code Ninjas El Segundo CenterYou will:
- Work regular after-school center hours, coaching students ages 5–14
- Support camps, workshops, special events, and other center activities
- Help create a fun, welcoming, and safe learning environment for students
At Local Elementary SchoolsYou will:
- Travel to nearby elementary schools to lead on-site after-school coding programs
- Teach and coach students using the Code Ninjas curriculum
- Lead engaging coding projects and activities that help students build programming, logic, and problem-solving skills
- Build positive relationships with students, school staff, and families
- Represent Code Ninjas professionally in the local school community
Center Hours: M, W-F: 3:00PM – 6:00PM and Sat: 10:00AM – 2:00PM Additional hours may include:
- Summer, spring, winter, and school-break camps
- Special workshops and events
- Community outreach and Code Ninjas events
Typical work hours: Primarily weekday afternoons/evenings, with some Saturday and school-break/camp hours depending on program schedules.
Because this role includes both center-based and school-based programs,
schedule flexibility and reliable transportation are important. The position requires the ability to work at our El Segundo center and travel to local elementary school partner locations.
