    Job Summary
    We are seeking an experienced COBOL/UNIX Developer to support and enhance enterprise applications in a financial services environment. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in COBOL development, UNIX/Linux systems, SQL, and application support. Experience in banking, capital markets, or custody services is highly preferred.
    Responsibilities
    • Design, develop, test, and maintain COBOL applications.
    • Analyze business and technical requirements and implement solutions.
    • Work in UNIX/Linux environments for application deployment and support.
    • Develop and optimize SQL queries and database interactions.
    • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
    • Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders.
    • Participate in code reviews and system enhancements.
    • Prepare technical documentation and support application releases.
    Required Skills
    • Strong experience with COBOL programming.
    • Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments.
    • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, DB2, or Sybase).
    • Experience with Shell scripting.
    • Knowledge of batch processing and job scheduling.
    • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with source code/version control tools.
    Preferred Skills
    • Financial services or Capital Markets experience.
    • custody banking experience.
    • Exposure to Mainframe technologies (JCL, CICS, VSAM, DB2).
    • Agile/Scrum development methodology.
