COAX Splicer – Telecommunications
B&A Communications is seeking an experienced
COAX Splicer to join our telecommunications construction team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience splicing, activating, testing, and troubleshooting coaxial cable networks.
Responsibilities
- Perform coax cable splicing, including new construction and maintenance work
- Install and splice coax cable, hardline connectors, passives, and related equipment
- Read and understand system prints, maps, and work orders
- Perform system activation, balancing, testing, and troubleshooting as required
- Identify and repair signal and connectivity issues
- Complete aerial and underground splicing work
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed work
- Follow company and customer safety and quality standards
- Work independently in the field and coordinate with supervisors and construction crews
Qualifications
- Previous COAX splicing experience required
- Knowledge of CATV/HFC systems and coax construction practices
- Ability to use signal meters and standard splicing/testing equipment
- Ability to read cable prints and system maps
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends, or on-call as project needs require
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to produce quality work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
Compensation
$20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
