About this Job
This position works in the Project Support Section of the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA). The incumbent provides project support to the CPRA in its work pertaining to the state's water and land resources and/or environment in order to ensure their protection, conservation, enhancement, restoration, operation, maintenance, rehabilitation, and monitoring. This position assists in managing programs funded by the Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Fund, Capital Outlay, BP, and multiple federal sources of funding. Duties include the development and implementation of professional and/or consulting contracts, grants/cost share agreements, reviewing vendor invoices, and maintaining related files.
An ideal candidate will possess the following core competencies:

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in an environmental program; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Compensation: Below are the bi-weekly minimum hire rates established for the position in accordance with CPRA's Special Entrance Rate Policy:
Coastal Resources Program Specialist 1 $1,672.80
Coastal Resources Program Specialist 2 $1,789.60
Coastal Resources Program Specialist 3 $1,915.20
The maximum salary for a CRPS 3 is $78,624 annually. This position is eligible for premium pay.
