Ideal candidates will be located in the Greater New England, Upstate New York area.

The CTE builds strong relationships with key stakeholders, delivers compelling product demonstrations, resolves customer issues, and strategically positions Stago's solutions to enhance instrument adoption and reagent revenue. This role also coordinates supply chain execution, supports standing orders, and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure best-in-class customer experience and competitive market performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Sales, Prospecting & Capital Growth

  • Identify and convert new business opportunities within hospitals and IDNs.
  • Conduct competitive prospecting, including face-to-face cold calling at competitive accounts.
  • Deliver capital equipment demonstrations, evaluations, and workflow assessments.
  • Create compelling proposals, ROI analyses, and negotiate profitable, compliant deals.
  • Refer capital leads to appropriate colleagues and support collaborative selling efforts.
  • Achieve instrument and reagent sales targets.

Customer Retention & Portfolio Expansion

  • Manage and grow existing accounts through structured engagement and relationship development.
  • Conduct regular in-person visits to maintain customer satisfaction and prevent attrition.
  • Identify unmet needs and expand utilization across the Stago reagent and specialty testing portfolio.
  • Present break-even calculators and workflow optimization tools to drive adoption of additional assays.

Supply Chain & Standing Order Support

  • Support standing orders at customer sites and ensure optimal inventory management.
  • Collaborate regularly with Sales Admin, Marketing, Logistics, and Distribution teams.
  • Monitor inventory trends; recommend improvements to forecasting and planning processes.
  • Resolve supply chain obstacles quickly to safeguard customer operations.

Product Expertise, Demos & Training

  • Maintain expert-level understanding of Stago instrumentation, reagents, and workflow solutions.
  • Conduct training sessions, demos, and educational engagements for all relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay current on industry, competitor, and regulatory trends and communicate insights to clients.

Market Strategy, Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategic execution.
  • Work with Marketing, Area Business Managers, and field leadership to refine market-facing strategies.
  • Maintain CRM data integrity and submit all weekly/monthly reporting requirements.
  • Forecast capital and reagent opportunities accurately.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Area Business Managers, CP Team, Technical Service, Field Service, and Finance.
  • Support local IDN strategies and cross-enterprise initiatives.
  • Participate in trade shows, user groups, roadshows, and demo days as required.
  • Manage special strategic projects directed by leadership.

Customer Service, Instrument Integration & Issue Resolution

  • Serve as the primary customer interface for issue identification and triage.
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns rapidly and professionally.
  • Communicate status updates and remediation steps with clarity and empathy.
  • Project manage the MyStagoProject implementation process within assigned geography for instruments sold.

Compliance

  • Operate within defined budgets and adhere to all corporate policies and compliance requirements.
  • Follow Stago Code of Conduct, Sunshine Act regulations, and all applicable quality and regulatory standards.
  • Document Point of Care testing details in CRM and notify relevant Stago Group affiliates.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Business, Healthcare, Life Sciences or related field. 2-3 years clinical sales experience or 3-5 years technical field experience, or 5 years clinical lab experience required OR 12 months Stago experience in sales or technical position. ASCP certification preferred, capital sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Valid drivers license required.
  • Up to 80% travel including overnight within assigned territory.
