Waukesha North and Waukesha South High Schools are seeking an Assistant Girls Basketball Coach to successfully lead our Co-op basketball program. We are an seeking an individual who is excited to be able to work with Waukesha North and Waukesha South student athletes and staff to assist in building up a program including both schools, with the goal of working towards having two strong and separate school programs again.

Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing young athletes, committed to fostering a positive and competitive team environment, and possess strong communication and organizational skills. This role is crucial for supporting the head coach in all aspects of the program, including practice planning, player development, and game-day management, and the ability to build relational capacity with the Waukesha North/South girls basketball community.
Key Responsibilities:
Player Development: Assist in designing and implementing practice plans that focus on fundamental skills, strategy, and teamwork. Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction to improve players'' individual skills.
Game-Day Support: Help the head coach with game-day preparation, including warm-ups and statistical tracking. During games, provide support, feedback, and encouragement to athletes and help manage substitutions.
Administrative Duties: Assist with administrative tasks such as team rosters, equipment inventory, and travel logistics. Ensure all team activities comply with school, district, Woodland Conference, and WIAA policies.
Mentorship: Serve as a positive role model and mentor for all athletes, emphasizing sportsmanship, academic success, and personal growth. Promote a culture of respect, hard work, and accountability.
Communication: Maintain open and consistent communication with the head coach, players, and parents regarding team goals, schedules, and player progress.
