Position Details:
Mammographer- Glenwood Springs, CO
Location                             : Glenwood Springs, CO 81601
Duration                            : 20 weeks Contract
Pay Range                         : $60- $63/hr
Shift                                     : 4–10-hour day shifts per week; no call.
 
Job Summary 
We are currently seeking an experienced Mammographer to perform high-quality mammography procedures in accordance with applicable standards of practice, organizational policies, values, and mission. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing safe, compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography procedures accurately and efficiently in accordance with established protocols and standards of practice.
• Ensure proper patient identification, preparation, positioning, and education throughout the procedure.
• Operate mammography equipment safely and effectively while maintaining high-quality diagnostic images.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient documentation and imaging records.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized imaging environment.
• Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards.
• Experience with stereotactic (stereo) procedures and needle localization is preferred.
• DEXA experience is a plus.

Requirements

• ARRT (R)(M) certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of current mammography experience required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required, with card in hand prior to the start date.
• Strong patient-care, communication, and technical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Must demonstrate attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and quality imaging.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with stereotactic breast procedures.
• Experience with needle localization.
• DEXA experience is a plus.
• Previous experience in a hospital, imaging center, or other clinical setting is preferred.
