Position Details:Mammographer- Glenwood Springs, COLocation : Glenwood Springs, CO 81601Duration : 20 weeks ContractPay Range : $60- $63/hrShift : 4–10-hour day shifts per week; no call.
Job Summary We are currently seeking an experienced Mammographer to perform high-quality mammography procedures in accordance with applicable standards of practice, organizational policies, values, and mission. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing safe, compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform mammography procedures accurately and efficiently in accordance with established protocols and standards of practice.
- Ensure proper patient identification, preparation, positioning, and education throughout the procedure.
- Operate mammography equipment safely and effectively while maintaining high-quality diagnostic images.
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient documentation and imaging records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized imaging environment.
- Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards.
- Experience with stereotactic (stereo) procedures and needle localization is preferred.
- DEXA experience is a plus.
Requirements- ARRT (R)(M) certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of current mammography experience required.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required, with card in hand prior to the start date.
- Strong patient-care, communication, and technical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Must demonstrate attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and quality imaging.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with stereotactic breast procedures.
- Experience with needle localization.
- DEXA experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in a hospital, imaging center, or other clinical setting is preferred.
