MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented CNO Vulnerability Research Expert to join our team in San Antonio, TX . In this role, you will support critical national security missions by identifying and analyzing software vulnerabilities, developing innovative solutions, and collaborating with a highly skilled cyber team to advance offensive and defensive capabilities.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


+ Researching and discovering software vulnerabilities across multiple platforms and environments

+ Reverse engineering software to identify security weaknesses and develop mechanism bypasses

+ Performing as a team lead on projects when appropriate, providing technical guidance and mentorship

+ Managing the design, development, documentation, testing, and debugging of user land and kernel software and systems

+ Researching and maintaining proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and emerging trends in computer network vulnerabilities, static and dynamic program analysis, network security, and encryption

+ Communicating project status, findings, and risk considerations with leadership and customers


Minimum Qualifications:


+ Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma and 10+ years of relevant experience

+ Experience in vulnerability research

+ Experience in reverse engineering and common security research tools (e.g., IDA Pro, Ghidra, Radare, Binary Ninja, SysInternals, GDB, WinDBG)

+ Experience in Python, C/C++, and Assembly (x86/x64) programming

+ CNO capability development experience

+ Proficiency with low-level internals in one or more technology areas (e.g., Windows, Linux, Mobile)

+ Experience with troubleshooting and debugging


Preferred Qualifications:


+ Experience managing or leading teams

+ Experience developing fuzzers and static analysis tools

+ Experience with modern security system features

+ Experience using Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, Crucible)

+ Experience applying Agile Scrum methodologies

+ Experience mentoring junior vulnerability researchers


Clearance Requirements:


+ Must have a current/active Secret clearance


Physical Requirements:


+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
