About the Opportunity
TekPro has partnered with a fast-growing precision manufacturer in the Blaine area to add experienced talent to their CNC turning team. These are direct-hire roles in a clean, well-equipped shop using modern CNC technology—ideal for machinists seeking stability, competitive pay, and ongoing skill development.
A Day in the Life
You’ll start your shift by reviewing blueprints and work instructions, planning your setups, and preparing tooling. As you run production, you’ll make offsets and basic adjustments to keep parts on spec, then verify results with calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Throughout the day, you’ll collaborate closely with production and quality teammates to hit schedule targets and ensure every part meets customer requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and/or operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision components
- Interpret blueprints and follow detailed work instructions
- Perform tool changes, apply offsets, and complete basic machine adjustments
- Inspect parts using hand metrology (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Monitor quality and maintain production standards throughout each run
- Partner with quality and production teams to meet customer specs and delivery goals
What You Bring
- Hands-on experience operating and/or setting up CNC lathes
- Ability to read blueprints and confidently use precision measurement tools
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
- Background in a production machining environment
- Familiarity with CNC controls and machining best practices (preferred)
