    HiFyve is hiring a CNC Technician I in the Material Handling Manufacturing industry in Franklin, IN!


    Salary: $23.30/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential = $24.30/hour

    Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–11:30 PM (OT when called)

    Location: On-site | Franklin, IN


    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Set up, operate, and perform quality checks on CNC lathes, mills, robo-drills, grinders, and honing machines.
    • Set and preset tooling for production machining operations.
    • Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
    • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications and requirements.
    • Troubleshoot CNC equipment and perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance activities to keep machinery operating efficiently.
    • Maintain tooling and equipment in optimal working condition and assist with resolving machining issues.
    • Support production operations and collaborate with the Team Leader to implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate tooling inventory and communicate tooling and supply reorder needs to procurement.
    • Maintain organized tool-setting areas and tool carts using 5S methodologies.
    • Perform basic mathematical calculations for measurements, tooling adjustments, and machining operations.


    Education Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Associate degree or technical training in machining preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders.


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Must have experience operating and setting up robo-drills.
    • Strong experience with Fanuc and Mori Seiki CNC equipment highly preferred.
    • Solid mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision inspection equipment.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
    • Strong understanding of CNC tooling, setup, adjustments, and machining processes.
    • Knowledge of TPS principles and a commitment to Kaizen and continuous improvement is a plus.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high-quality work.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to work safely and maintain a constant state of alertness in a manufacturing environment.
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
