Title: CNC Citizen Swiss Machinist

Shift: Full-Time
1st Shift - 7am - 3:30pm

2nd Shift - 3:30pm - 1:30am (M-Th)

Salary: $27.00 – $32.00 / hour

CNC Citizen Swiss Machinist Role:

Our client is seeking a self-sufficient CNC Citizen Swiss Machinist to own machine setups and operations for a fast-growing advanced manufacturing leader. In this role, you will immediately influence throughput, part precision, and overall shop efficiency by running high-performance Citizen machines to produce complex, tight-tolerance components.

CNC Citizen Swiss Machinist Responsibilities: 

  • Set up and operate Citizen Swiss CNC L20 and L32 models equipped with Mitsubishi controls
  • Perform tool changes, set longitudes and diameters, and execute precise tool offset adjustments
  • Execute changeovers on automatic bar feeds efficiently to maintain continuous shop-floor workflow
  • Inspect finished parts thoroughly using micrometers, calipers, height gages, and other precision measurement equipment
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings to verify geometric specifications
  • Perform program editing and setup adjustments to enhance machining efficiency and optimize cycle times
  • Maintain meticulous quality logs and adhere to standardized documentation practices across all machining operations

CNC Citizen Swiss Machinist Reporting Relationships:

This position reports to the shop floor manager.

About You:

  • Possess direct experience setting up and operating Citizen Swiss CNC machines with Mitsubishi controls
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of fundamental machining practices, principles, and cutting tool insert nomenclature
  • Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and technical drawings with high proficiency
  • Utilize quality inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, and height gages
  • Perform tool offsets, set diameters and longitudes, and edit CNC programs independently
  • Lift up to 75 lbs and navigate an active production shop comfortably
  • Maintain a meticulous approach to quality control, documentation practices, and shop-floor safety standards
