Description

CNC Setup & Production Machinist

Picture your workday: you clock in, review the traveler, pull the job, and set up a CNC mill or lathe using proven programs already prepared by the programming team. You dial in offsets, load tools, run a first-article, and check features with precision gauges before releasing the run. Throughout the shift, you keep parts flowing, verify dimensions, and document quality checks—staying safe, efficient, and proud of the parts you ship.

About this opportunity

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a large manufacturing client in Fort Collins, CO to add skilled CNC operators across multiple shifts. You’ll focus on setup and production, not programming.

Compensation & schedule

  • Pay: $20–$26 per hour, based on experience
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • Shifts: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift opportunities

What you’ll handle

  • Set up and operate CNC equipment using existing, released programs
  • Interpret blueprints and follow work instructions/travelers
  • Inspect parts to specification using precision measuring tools

What you bring

  • Hands-on CNC setup and machine operation experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and verify part dimensions
  • Strong focus on quality, safety, and reliability

No programming required: programming is handled by a dedicated programmer; your responsibility is machine setup and operation.
